I'm having a weird moment! and more

Things are very weird right now.... I am all alone!! I was scheduled for DPC today, but it was cancelled, so I let the girls go to "school" anyway and the boys are at school and Paul is at the Corps. Soooo, here I am! I think this happens like 2 or 3 times a year, if that! I'm not liking it too much either. I've never heard my house so quiet! I keep thinking something is wrong. Very weird!

I'm realizing this blog thing is a one-sided conversation. Just remember... I'm a nosy person and I would love to know what my readers are up too. You can post a comment (be nice, I get enough flack just being in ministry and having a "big" family). I like to know what my friends and family are up to?!?

I finally fixed my blog. What do you think?

I ran a bunch of errands this morning. Corps and personal. Went to my OB check-up. Didn't even get in trouble for scheduling this appointment more than 2 weeks off. I thought for sure I'd get chewd out about it but, nope, not a word. I just have a hard time finding the time to go, especially now that the office is discouraging bringing your children with you. I was a good girl this time and made my next appointment for almost 2 weeks off. I also don't always see a reason to go so much when I'm doing perfectly fine. I think I would know if something was off.

I'm making Broccoli, Ham and Cheese Quiche (aka Egg Pie) for dinner. With fried Yukon potatos, cantalope and pineapple. What are you making for dinner tonight?

Last night all 6 of us crammed ourselves into the hall bathroom so that we could make our mouths glow. Most of you have probably heard of this, but if you haven't, it's a really neat thing to do. Get a pack of "wint-o-green" lifesavers and put yourself and your family in a completely dark room. When everyone is chewing up the lifesavers you will see light sparking in everyone's mouth. Bite/Chew with your mouth wide open so everyone can see. It's really fun. When I was a kid, you could do it with Certs, but they didn't seem to work last night. Then, you can go online (our fav is ask.com) and research the ingredients and why this happens.

I am also proud to announce that I won at Uno yesterday. (I know the kids will be reading this... so I need to rub it in some more!)

And oh yeah, so I don't leave anyone hanging... Paul's b-day gift fell through. When I was reading the paper on Friday night, the classifieds ran an ad for a FREE pop-up tent trailer. Paul called on it and it sounded pretty decent (decent enough for us!) But someone else got it before we could. Big bummer, but we probably would've still had to pay back registration and title fees anyways, which is so not in our budget right now. Afterall, the only thing free in life is Jesus!

Cool! I'm so glad you got some time to yourself. It's a weird feeling isn't it. You don't quite to know what to do with yourself!

Bummer about the pop up trailer. That would have been fun.

The kids are being so naughty today. They are wearing me out and it's not even 3:00 p.m. yet.

I don't know what I'm going to do for dinner. I haven't even thought that far ahead. How about P and B's!

I got 1 1/2 hours sleep and I'm so tired. I feel like a zombie.

That is how I felt, driving in the car by myself to The Dalles a couple of weekends ago. It was just so strange not having the constant chattering. I hope you enjoyed your time thoroughly.
