Today I ran like a mad woman. Tomorrow I will too.
We started the morning with our volunteer shift for Kettling. It was very enjoyable for the first 20 minutes and then it went bad, real bad. I have 4 people under the age of 9 to blame. It was so bad that I actually had to call Paul to rescue me. It was either him or 911.
The rest of the day was filled with babysitting the Kettles somewhat. Two of our locations were manned by volunteers today. The Corps (Church) people and our Advisory Board.
I got some errands done for our AB/Staff Christmas Party tomorrow. All by myself! I milked it too. Went to JcPenney, Vacuumed out my van, went through the car wash, went to Fred Meyer and had a decaf nonfat Gingerbread latte, chatted in the grocery store with some people. I was in no hurry to get home after the Kettling fiasco.
When I got home Paul and the kids were hanging up the outside Christmas lights. I joined in too. It was some good "healing" family time (ha!ha!ha!). Then we loaded up for haircuts (just the guys, of course while us girls watched and offered our opinions) and hot cocoa, and checking our volunteers. Now I have 3 handsome men again.
I just got finished decorating the dining room, baking a cake and wrapping a gift for Ann's birthday tomorrow. Elijah and I decorated the cake. Ann will be happy that it is VERY pink and that the dining room is VERY pink. I soooo wish I could post pictures!
I just need to review my sermon tonight before I can take my deep breath and rest. But I don't mind being busy with good stuff!
I can't make time for a blog tomorrow, so here it is in a nutshell: Church, Ann's birthday out to eat lunch, Ann's birthday party at home, Church at the Veteran's Home, unload kids at Brown's, AB/Staff Christmas Party, load up kids for home, get ready for school, bed. All the details are too much to write about, and probably boring.
We're all holding out for snow! This is our fifth year here and first time we didn't have snow by now.

WE HAVE SNOW! The kids are going to die! I hope it keeps it up so they can actually make snowmen and snow angels and stuff together!
I can't believe how busy that sounds. You do need a to take a deep breath! I can't wait to hear more about the kettle fiasco!
You are so blessed that you can call Paul and not 911! I only have the 911 choice if there is an emergency!
Keep it up, the biggies are almost done and then you can slow down and savor Christmas.
You are doing great, Rach! Let me know if I can help.
